Whether you are a serviceman, or woman, or love someone who is , was, or has been, pay tribute with your needleartistry in this wonderful rendition by James Himsworth of the well loved Three Servicemen Sculpture.
The sculptor, Frederick Hart, himself a combat veteran of World War II , was able to depict some of the realism of serving in a combat zone. These three fighting men are dressed in battle dress uniforms, carrying weapons. Note the respectful treatment of beautiful strength and youth in these comrades~ the average age of soldiers in Vietnam was 19. Positioned so they are looking on the names of their lost comrades which appear on the Vietnam Veteran Memorial Wall, they pay eternal homage to fallen brothers and sisters and remind us to do the same. This treasure arrived in overly shopworn packaging which has been replaced to keep piece clean and ready to work. Absolutely lovely!
