The story of the Laura Ashley company is inspiring, and exciting for those of us who love textiles. An enterprising young couple created what is now an awe-inspiring corporation right in their very own home, creating their own fabric designs from scratch. As with so many creative ideas, Bernard and Laura Ashley’s  tiny venture gained momentum quickly, and now, seven decades later the Laura Ashley home is world reknowned for beauty, grace and elegance.

 

We are so pleased and proud to be able to present this extremely hard to find design from a no longer produced line of specially commissioned tapestry needlepoint kits designed to coordinate with fabrics. Simply entitled "Blueberries" this is a very rich, elegant plummy purple that could also be labeled Maroon. Muted olive green and celery tones pervade the leaves, with a range of pinks from lightest pink-lilac to deep rose are used for creating the plump berries. A simple dusty gold border surrounds the interesting central vignette and outer edges. You’ll use only the finest materials to create this piece; sumptuous, luxurious paterna Persian wools, hand painted 14 count mono canvas, resulting in a design you’ll be proud to display for a lifetime!
