Roger Reinardy’s wonderful artistry for the needleartist always captures the very essence of his subject. In this beautiful design which was licensed to ModiCrafts'f for their Designer collection, Roger is uncredited, but his artwork shines through. A group of early morning wading birds enjoy the tropic foliage and the coral colored skies that come only in the wee hours of the morning. Very much like cranes, with a few vital differences, Egrets are often used as symbols of good luck. They fly with their necks curved (whereas cranes fly with them out stretched), have fully feathered heads, nest in trees in colonies, and their croaking calls can be heard from far off. Whether you’re an avid bird collector, egret lover, or just enjoy doing longstitch needlepoint, this fantabulous vintage circa 1984 find is super rare, and certainly a must have on your stitchery list! You'll work in stranded cottons on a fine 24 count congress cloth for a finished piece you'll be proud to display anywhere!
