The original Thirteen Colonies chose a beautiful array of flowers to represent their states. Violets, Lilacs, Roses~ they are all charmingly depicted in this really hard to find Colonial floral sampler crewel embroidery kit which Elsa Williams requested Mona Spoor to design for commemoration of the Bicentennial. Those familiar with State flowers, will notice that there are only 10 flowers due to shared flowers by some states! What a great way to get the younger family members interested in your embroidery skills and a little history too! Worked on Linen twill, your finished piece will wear well and last for generations.
